LE PAN arrived in Hong Kong in early 2017, and immediately set a new benchmark for restaurant design, with its remarkable palace-like interior - white marble and white leather features, punctuated by crystal chandeliers and warm accents of lavender. Award-winning Chef Edward Voon hails from Singapore yet presents inventive, artfully plated, contemporary French cuisine in a glamorous, spacious restaurant on a leafy corner of Kowloon Bay.
A programme of interviews with Chef Voon was crucial as his trademark contemporary French cuisine, honed by his imagination and experimentation, has garnered an international following: he was named one of the top 10 most innovative chefs in the world by Restaurant magazine in 2007. Continuous relationship building with targeted media – a series of media tastings at the chef’s table, set as an elegant dining room for up to six patrons on the edge of the open kitchen – was also important in order to ensure LE PAN stays at the forefront of Hong Kong’s high-end dining scene.
Voltage secured over 60 clippings out of this one release, including 29 high quality features, with a total ad value of over 3.8 million. The creative approach to the press release and the continued pitching created enormous ROI for LE PAN, helping to cement the brand amongst Asian media and consumers.
